Doesnt it use an insane amount of token though which offsets some of the 5x cheaper claim?

Are you hosting Kimi 2.7 for inference? If not, which providers have worked well for you?
I promise you it's not better than gpt 5.5 at front end. If you know how to use 5.5 it's frontend capabilities exceed default Opus front end abilities.
the 5x math breaks once you're factoring regression cost. Opus still owns tool calling imo.
